The press office of the Romanian Patriarchate provided details about two recent incidents at the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation. The first incident, at 5:30 AM, was caused by a temporary halt to access through the main door for cleaning, which led to a small crowding, as some worshippers believed that access would be completely blocked. Subsequently, the situation was clarified, and the worshippers were redirected through the side entrance without being restricted by the Te-Deum service that took place between 8:00-8:30 AM, officiated by Bishop Varlaam of Ploiești.
The Bucharest Gendarmerie intervened to manage the flow of pilgrims, ensuring that no one was injured. Additionally, the Patriarchate announced the extension of the worship schedule until November 5, to allow access for worshippers, including during the night. The Minister of Defense, Ionuț Moșteanu, emphasized the importance of the service for Romanian soldiers, stating that the Cathedral was not closed and that it was a symbolic moment for the Church and the Army.
