The Ministry of National Defense activated the anti-air defense systems due to some drones observed near the national airspace, and an aerial vehicle crashed in Tulcea County.

The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) informed that radars detected groups of drones in the adjacent area of the national airspace, which led to the preventive activation of air defense systems. Unfavorable weather conditions in the southeast of the country hindered the takeoff of aircraft from the Air Police combat service. On the Ukrainian side of the Danube, numerous explosions were observed, and MApN was informed about the crash of an aircraft in Tulcea County, in the Grindu area. Military personnel were dispatched to the scene, where they found possible drone fragments, and the area was secured for further investigations. Additionally, CSAT approved the procedures for shooting down aircraft that enter without permission in Romanian airspace, establishing that the order will be given by the military commander for drones and military aircraft, and for civilian aircraft, by the Minister of National Defense.
