On the night of November 10 to 11, 2025, the Russian Federation carried out airstrikes on Ukrainian ports on the Danube, and a Russian drone fell in Romania, in the Grindu area of Tulcea County. General Gheorghiță Vlad, head of the Defense Staff, stated that the drone could have been shot down, but it was not considered a threat to the population, falling at a distance far enough from the Gepard air defense system.
The Ministry of National Defense activated the air defense systems following reports of drone groups near the national airspace, but unfavorable weather conditions prevented the takeoff of combat aircraft. At 00:07, a RO-Alert message was issued for the population in the northern part of Tulcea County, and at 01:09, the Ministry of National Defense was informed about the drone's impact with the ground.
