The campaign "United Against Scams", initiated by the Romanian Police, DNSC, ARB, and Mastercard, aims to prevent online scams, especially for individuals over 60 years old. This comes in response to the alarming increase in frauds via phone, SMS, or online, which have doubled in 2025. The campaign aims to create a collaborative ecosystem where authorities, financial institutions, and consumers share information about fraud patterns. Suspicious messages and promises of quick winnings are the most common traps.

The campaign's digital platform provides accessible information about fraud methods and real stories of victims, to help users recognize and avoid these scams. Documented fraud methods include "The Accident" and "The Nephew in Distress", which use artificial intelligence to mimic familiar voices. The campaign also promotes the concept of a "family password" as a protective measure. The #OnlineSafety project aims to provide the best cybersecurity practices, accessible on the platform sigurantaonline.ro.
