The ING SAFE Talks conference highlighted the adaptability of online fraud to the profile of victims, emphasizing that attackers take advantage of inattention, emotions, and lack of information. The event included the presentation of the first national study on online financial fraud among people over 50, showing that criminals do not discriminate by age, but rather adjust their methods based on the situation.

Although older individuals are among the most targeted, anyone can become a victim. ING representatives provided concrete examples of how cybercriminal groups operate, including a gong used in call centers to mark the successes of frauds.

The organizers emphasized that information and quick response are essential in combating these attacks, and reporting incidents is crucial for protecting victims and preventing further scams.
