Seven female employees accuse an AMEPIP director of sexual and moral harassment. The institution has launched internal investigations, and the case has reached the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office

AMEPIP confirmed on Friday, September 11, that seven female employees had filed complaints concerning possible acts of sexual and moral harassment in the workplace, allegedly attributed to a director within the institution. The case is being examined through internal investigations, while the allegations have also been forwarded to criminal investigation authorities in the capital.

One of the employees, who requested that her identity be protected, claims that the women were repeatedly subjected to obscene behavior and professional pressure. According to information published by Știripesurse.ro, the complaints were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office and the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police.

AMEPIP’s leadership officially confirmed the existence of the complaints and announced that the checks conducted by the special committee for preventing harassment had been completed. The report was submitted to the leadership and is under review, with its conclusions and recommendations to be assessed.

Meanwhile, the Disciplinary Committee is conducting a separate administrative procedure. The institution has not made the identity of the person concerned public and has not disclosed the evidence or statements, citing confidentiality. AMEPIP stressed that the investigation does not automatically establish guilt and said it rejects any form of harassment or discrimination.
