The General Council of Bucharest Municipality approved, in the meeting on June 30, a resolution by which entities that own, manage or use assets in the public or private domain of the Capital will have to adopt, within a maximum of 60 days, internal procedures to combat illegal posting.
"We have designed a program through which the facades of buildings in the historical and protected areas of Bucharest will be cleaned of graffiti and illegally posted bills. The goal is simple: a more beautiful city, a protected heritage, and historical areas that we can be proud of.
The program brings concrete benefits for owners and for the entire community:
• Real financial support – The City Hall covers 80% of the costs, and you only pay 20%;
• Zero bureaucracy for you – The City Hall takes care of documentation, approvals, permits, and technical solutions;
• Properly protected buildings – interventions are made with methods that do not damage the facade, and for historical monuments, heritage standards are respected;
• A more attractive city – better-maintained historical areas mean more tourism, more investments, and an increased value of properties;
• Long-term safety – cleaned areas are monitored to remain clean," wrote Ciprian Ciucu on his Facebook page.
