Romania has been condemned in an international lawsuit with the Austrian group OMV and ordered to pay €47 million. The PSD-PNL-UDMR government has been sharply criticized for incompetence in handling the situation. Energy minister Sebastian Burduja and prime minister Marcel Ciolacu are targeted by calls for them to personally bear this considerable sum, as Ciolacu boasts of his government's achievements.
