The National Meteorological Administration has issued warnings for heat waves and atmospheric instability for Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will reach 35-37 degrees, and storms are expected in the mountainous areas.

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued heatwave and atmospheric instability warnings for Sunday, August 23, and Monday, August 24.

On Sunday, between 10:00 AM and 10:00 AM the following day, a yellow code for high temperatures will affect Oltenia, the west, center, and south of Muntenia, as well as continental Dobrogea, with maximums of 35-37 degrees and tropical nights.

Also on Sunday, between 1:00 PM and 10:00 PM, another yellow code will target the mountainous area of the counties of Argeș, Dâmbovița, Prahova, and Buzău, where torrential downpours, electrical discharges, and wind intensifications are expected, with gusts of 50-70 km/h.

On Monday, the heat will move south, with similar temperatures, but also with risks of storms and downpours in the southern and mountainous regions.

ANM warns that atmospheric instability may occur isolated in other areas.
