The National Meteorological Administration has issued heat warnings for Thursday and Friday, September 10 and 11, in several regions of Romania. Temperatures will reach 35 degrees Celsius, and an orange code will be issued in some areas. Starting Friday evening, the weather will change, with severe storms, torrential showers, and thunderstorms.

On Thursday, between 12:00 and 18:00, southern Banat, Oltenia, southwestern Muntenia, northeastern Moldova, and most of Transylvania will be affected. Maximum temperatures will range between 30 and 35 degrees, and there will be heatwave conditions in southern Banat.

On Friday, during the same interval, temperatures will reach 30–35 degrees in Crișana, Maramureș, Oltenia, southwestern Muntenia, and several areas of Transylvania. An orange code will also be in effect on Friday in Banat, western and southwestern Oltenia, as well as in southwestern and central Transylvania. Maximum temperatures of 33–36 degrees are forecast here, with increased thermal discomfort.

From Friday evening through Sunday, September 13, increased wind speeds, torrential rain, small hail, and severe storms are expected. Wind gusts may reach 50–60 km/h, while rainfall amounts may locally exceed 30–40 liters per square meter.

In Bucharest, temperatures will rise to 31–32 degrees on Thursday and Friday. Rain and thunderstorms will occur over the weekend, while on Sunday maximum temperatures will drop to 23–25 degrees.
