The Ministers of Finance, Economy, Energy, and Transport, in office as of March 31, 2026, have been sanctioned by the Agency for Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Enterprises (AMEPIP) with fines of up to 30% of their annual remuneration for failing to complete the appointment procedures for members with definitive mandates in the boards of state companies on time.

The sanctions, which amount to significant sums, were applied in accordance with the legislation on corporate governance.

The interim Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, received a fine of 78,624 lei, while the interim Minister of Economy, Irinel Darău, and the former Minister of Transport, Ciprian Șerban, were fined 104,832 lei each. Additionally, the former Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, was sanctioned with 78,624 lei.

The fines were imposed for failing to meet the legal deadlines for appointing administrators, according to the legislation in force, which stipulates the obligation to complete these procedures by March 31, 2026.
