Special forces descended in the morning on 13 addresses in Timiș County, as part of an investigation targeting a group suspected of organizing illegal hunting parties for two years. Members of the group allegedly used lethal and non-lethal weapons, some possessed illegally, to kill wild animals, especially wild boars. Maria Mitroi, spokesperson for the Timiș Police Inspectorate, stated that investigations are being conducted for crimes related to the arms and ammunition regime, illegal use of weapons, and violations of hunting legislation. The investigation also involves two police officers, a dentist, and a farmer. Sources claim that the killed animals were processed at the farmer's farm, and the meat was distributed among group members. So far, investigators have seized a firearm for expertise, and seven people have been taken for questioning at the Timiș Police Inspectorate.
