Raids in Timiș: 16 searches targeting suspects of qualified thefts, among which is also a police officer.

The Timișoara police conducted on Tuesday, 16 searches at the homes of individuals suspected of qualified thefts from residences, including a police officer from the Timișoara Municipal Police.

These actions were coordinated by a prosecutor from the Timișoara Court's Prosecutor's Office, within a criminal case targeting a criminal group suspected of theft offenses. Investigations revealed the use of complex methods of operation for entering homes and stealing goods.

The Timiș County Police Inspectorate emphasized that it firmly distances itself from illegal behaviors and that any criminal act committed by police officers will be treated with severity, according to legal competencies. Activities continue under the coordination of the case prosecutor.
