The president of AUR, George Simion, will run alone for a new term as the party leader, thus having no internal competition. The National Congress of AUR is scheduled for November 30 in Alba Iulia, and the party leaders, Petrișor Peiu and Marius Lulea, have confirmed that there are no other candidates.
The AUR regulations stipulate that to enter the competition, candidates must have at least 100 supporters and 20 parliamentarians or MEPs. Additionally, candidates must meet certain conditions, including a minimum of 24 months of membership in the party and up-to-date membership fees. The lists of supporters must come from at least 5 counties, with a maximum of 20 signatories from each county.
