AUR President George Simion met on Sunday in Turda with party supporters at an event organized by the president of AUR Turda and Deputy Mayor Adrian Nap. Simion later posted a video from the meeting on social media, accompanied by the message: “We stand firm against the storm – Călin Georgescu is innocent! I have started touring the country again.”
Senator Cristian Sipoș and several AUR county councillors attended the event. In his speech, the party leader associated the rain in Turda with prosperity and the autumn harvest, stating that “rain brings abundance to Romanians.”
Simion then criticized those he called “invaders,” saying they were hindering Romania’s development and causing suffering among the population. Without naming anyone, he claimed that his political opponents were trying to send to prison those who were proposing change.
“Now, one by one, they want to put us in prison because the people want to make a change,” the AUR leader said. At the end, he thanked the participants and reiterated his message of support for Călin Georgescu.
