The authorities in Constanța have decided not to organize fireworks for New Year's Eve, following the example of other cities such as Cluj-Napoca, Ploiești, Iași, and Brașov. This measure was taken in the context of protecting animals and the environment, considering that fireworks can cause panic and extreme stress to animals, especially dogs.

Representatives of the City Hall emphasized the negative impact of these shows on animal health and air quality, considering the pollution generated. Many of the cities that have adopted similar measures will replace fireworks with light shows and drones, thus providing more environmentally friendly and animal-friendly alternatives.
