Clara Volintiru, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the importance of the competitiveness of private companies in the context of national security, in a statement made on March 19 in Bucharest. During the event "National Security Barometer", Volintiru highlighted that no company can survive solely by serving the national interest, but must also have a component of competitiveness. She discussed the necessity of a social contract that legitimizes the existence of the state by ensuring the security of citizens.

Volintiru mentioned that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must integrate national capabilities into an international ecosystem and highlighted the current challenges in identifying allies. She also proposed the development of a holistic security culture that includes young people and their education in the field of security. In conclusion, Volintiru stated that we are in a state of permanent war, which requires resources and new models of collaboration between the public and private sectors.
