Corina Vasile, the executive director of the Employers' Association of the Software and Services Industry in Romania (ANIS), states that, regardless of the political formula voted by Parliament for the new Government, Romania's priority should be to regain economic competitiveness and transition to a growth model based on innovation. Her analysis highlights that Romania has dropped in international rankings on several economic metrics, including economic performance and government efficiency. Vasile emphasizes the importance of trust in institutions and relative performance compared to other countries.

IMD's recommendations for Romania include the efficiency of public spending, accelerating investments in research and development, and modernizing health and education systems. Vasile criticizes recent government programs for lacking a growth model based on productivity and innovation, proposing instead coherent public policies that stimulate the private sector and digital transformation. She highlights the positive impact of the IT industry on the economy, suggesting that a focus on this sector could bring significant benefits to Romania.
