Minister Irineu Darău initiated a dialogue with the management of companies and unions in the defense industry to identify solutions for increasing competitiveness.

The Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Irineu Darău, emphasized the importance of open dialogue with the management of companies and unions in the Romanian defense industry during a recent meeting at the ROMAERO headquarters. The purpose of the discussions was to identify solutions for modernizing and increasing the competitiveness of the sector. Darău acknowledged the challenges faced by companies, including ROMARM, and highlighted the need to address realistic issues without populism.

The discussions covered aspects such as production capacity, necessary investments, infrastructure modernization, and leveraging European programs. The minister stressed that, in order to compete effectively with private operators, the defense industry must reach a new level of competitiveness. Representatives of national defense companies and unions in the field participated in the meeting.
