The Buzău County Museum has announced the resumption of archaeological research at the site of Năeni, where the oldest settlement of the Bronze Age in the Subcarpathians was documented, a place dedicated to magical-religious rituals 4,000 years ago. The reopening of the site was made possible thanks to the support of the 'Vasile Pârvan' Institute of Archaeology and the Năeni Municipality.

Experts believe that Năeni is essential for understanding the dynamics of human communities and cultural changes in prehistory. Research was suspended 20 years ago due to lack of funding, but is now financed by the Institute. The site was active between 1982 and 2004, characterized by a stony area dedicated to rituals. It is estimated that research will continue next year, considering the importance of this place in the study of Bronze Age civilizations.
