Petrolul Ploiești has made an important transfer, bringing in striker Dan Nlundulu (27 years old) for the next two seasons. He has played 13 matches in the Premier League for Southampton and has also played in the lower English leagues, as well as in the Scottish Premiership, where he won the Scottish League Cup with St. Mirren. Born in France and raised in England, Nlundulu holds English, French, and Congolese citizenship, which facilitates his integration into the team. The transfer was requested by coach Ricardo Sousa, who took over the team after Mehmet Topal's departure. Petrolul has undergone a major reshaping of the squad due to insolvency, retaining only a few players from last season. The team will debut in the new season on Sunday, July 19, at home against Dinamo.
