The FRF Disciplinary and Ethics Commission has warned CFR Cluj that it risks point deductions and transfer bans if it does not pay its outstanding debts. The Cluj club has only a few days to resolve a debt of 70,000 euros to agent Lucian Marinescu, representing an unpaid transfer commission for two years.

In the past, CFR Cluj was close to losing its license due to debts, but managed to save itself by selling some important players, such as Louis Munteanu and London Emmerlahu. President Iuliu Mureșan stated that he hopes to reach an agreement to avoid sanctions, mentioning that there are no reasons for concern at this time.
