CFR Cluj received a €550,000 offer from China for Andrei Cordea, whose salary could amount to one million euros annually

Andrei Cordea, 27, could leave CFR Cluj during this transfer window after the Gruia-based club received an official offer from a team in China’s top division.

The Asian club is prepared to pay €550,000 for the winger’s transfer and would offer the player an annual salary of €1 million. The information was published by Fanatik.ro.

The offer represents a significant financial opportunity for Cordea, but the final decision belongs to CFR Cluj’s management. The transfer has not yet been confirmed, and negotiations are ongoing during the transfer window.

The footballer was also wanted by Universitatea Craiova, a team prepared to sign him from the domestic league. However, Cordea rejected the proposal from the club led by Mihai Rotaru.

If the move to China goes through, CFR Cluj would receive €550,000, while Andrei Cordea would earn one of the most substantial salaries of his career.

CFR Cluj coach Marius Șumudică had previously discussed the chances of Andrei Cordea being transferred during the winter window, after the player's performances attracted interest. The coach said that the midfielder/winger was “easy to resell” and would represent a good deal for the club, regardless of the destination.

At the same time, Șumudică described Cordea as an involved player and a “hero” who can make the difference even when he does not put in his best performance throughout the entire match. He also mentioned the figures from the previous season (13 goals and five assists) and stated that, in the current campaign, Cordea had five goals and three assists after 11 matches.
