OpenAI will buy io Products, founded by Jony Ive, and appoint him creative director to develop AI devices

The deal, valued at $6.5 billion, will bring Jony Ive, former Apple design chief, to the OpenAI team, where he will help create innovative devices for generative artificial intelligence. OpenAI is also negotiating with Microsoft to revise the existing partnership in the context of a future IPO.
