OpenAI is in discussions with Amazon for an investment that could exceed 10 billion dollars, according to CNBC sources. These negotiations come after OpenAI's recent restructuring and the clarification of its partnership with Microsoft, which has invested over 13 billion dollars in the company. Microsoft no longer has exclusive rights to provide computing capacity for OpenAI, and the latter can collaborate with other partners. Amazon, through its AWS division, has previously invested in rivals such as Anthropic and is developing its own artificial intelligence chips. OpenAI recently signed a contract with AWS for computing capacity worth 38 billion dollars and completed a secondary stock sale of 6.6 billion dollars. This move underscores the growing interest in generative artificial intelligence and the expansion of partnerships in this sector.
