The MFA issued a strong protest against this violation of national sovereignty and highlighted the risks to the security of citizens. The MFA also reiterated its call to the Russian Federation to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.
The Border Police reported the detection of a drone approximately 2000 meters from the border line, flying at an altitude of up to 100 meters. On the same night, a Russian drone entered Romania, flying on a route that included crossing Ukraine and Moldova, being monitored by German and Romanian aircraft. The Romanian Army confirmed the detection of the drone and issued a Ro-Alert message in Galați County, highlighting concerns related to national security in the context of these incidents.
