The Russian Embassy rejects the accusations of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the violation of airspace and considers the action a "theatrical act".

The Russian Embassy in Bucharest reacted after the summons of Ambassador Vladimir Lipaev by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following the incident with a Russian drone that fell in Tulcea County. The diplomatic mission described the MFA's action as a "theatrical move" and contested the accusations of violating Romanian airspace, considering them "absurd and unfounded." The embassy stated that the evidence presented by the MFA is inconclusive, highlighting the lack of coordinates for the drone's entry into Romania and suggesting that it was shot down by air defense forces, not that it fell accidentally.

Additionally, the Embassy reiterated Moscow's conditions for achieving peace in Ukraine, criticizing the supply of weapons to Ukraine. The MFA announced that it had presented solid evidence of the violation of Romania's sovereignty and expressed its protest against this incident, mentioning the possibility of sanctions.
