President Maia Sandu personally called Alexandru Munteanu to propose him the position of Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, revealed that she personally contacted Alexandru Munteanu to propose him for the position of prime minister, after Dorin Recean refused to continue in this role. Sandu explained that, together with her colleagues, she analyzed several options and agreed that Munteanu is the most suitable candidate due to his economic and managerial experience. The president emphasized that Munteanu has a good understanding of the economy and embodies the values of the party. In the face of criticism regarding her choice, Sandu stated that, regardless of who had been proposed, there would have been discontent, even if it had been a historical figure like Stephen the Great.
