The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, appointed the Munteanu Government, emphasizing the importance of reforms for economic development and European integration.

Maia Sandu, the President of the Republic of Moldova, signed the decree for the appointment of the new Government led by Alexandru Munteanu. During the oath-taking ceremony, Sandu highlighted the need for bold measures for economic development, attracting investments, and increasing competitiveness, emphasizing the importance of leveraging the opportunities offered by European integration.

She thanked the Cabinet members for taking on responsibility during a difficult period and stressed that the new government must focus on development and improving governance. Sandu mentioned that it is essential to continue reforms in justice, energy security, education, and administrative-territorial matters, to ensure a competitive future for young people and to leverage European funds.

Additionally, the president expressed gratitude to former Prime Minister Dorin Recean for his efforts in maintaining peace and democracy in the country, as well as for the significant achievements in the process of European integration.
