The complete and official list of ministers in the Mureșan Cabinet has been published / “I proposed competent people for each ministry”

The leaderships of the PNL, USR, and UDMR approved the governing program on Friday and validated the list of ministers proposed for the Cabinet led by designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan. The new Executive will have 16 ministries and three deputy prime ministers with portfolios, one from each party.

The list of the Mureșan Government is due to be submitted to Parliament on Saturday, together with the governing program, to initiate the investiture procedure. The proposed team includes 10 ministers who were members of the Bolojan Government.

Mircea Abrudean, from the PNL, is proposed as Minister of Internal Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister. Radu Miruță, from the USR, is expected to take over the National Defence portfolio and the position of Deputy Prime Minister, while Tánczos Barna, from the UDMR, is nominated for the positions of Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Deputy Prime Minister.

Independent Andrea Chiș is proposed for the Ministry of Justice. Alexandru Nazare, from the PNL, is nominated for Finance, while Oana Țoiu, from the USR, is nominated for Foreign Affairs. The Ministry of Health is expected to be led by Oana Gheorghiu, from the PNL, while Cătălin Drulă, from the USR, is proposed as Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.

Cseke Attila, from the UDMR, is nominated for the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration. Raluca Turcan, from the PNL, is expected to lead the Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity, while Dragoș Pîslaru, also from the PNL, is proposed for European Investments and Projects.

The USR is also proposing Irineu Darău for the Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism portfolio and Diana Buzoianu for the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests. Sebastian Burduja, from the PNL, is nominated for the Ministry of Energy, Bulcsú Koppány Ötvös, from the UDMR, for the Ministry of Culture, and Mihai Dimian, from the PNL, for the Ministry of Education and Research.

Dan Reșitnec, from the USR, is proposed as Secretary-General of the Government, with ministerial rank.

Siegfried Mureșan stated that the proposed ministers have clear objectives and that the new Government is prepared to begin work immediately after its investiture.

People expect concrete results from us, and each minister has clear objectives and knows what needs to be done to achieve them. Tomorrow we will submit the governing program and the list of the Government and take the next step toward the investiture of a stable Government prepared to begin work from day one”, Siegfried Mureșan posted on Facebook.
