PNL, USR, and UDMR have outlined the list of ministers in the Mureșan Government

The PNL, USR, and UDMR leaders have outlined approximately 90% of the list of ministers in the government proposed by designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan, following discussions held Wednesday at Victoria Palace. The final decision has not been made, and negotiations continue for several important portfolios.

According to information cited by Digi24, the current structure of the Government is expected to be maintained, with three deputy prime ministers and no more than three state secretaries for each ministry. The deputy prime ministers are expected to be chosen from among the ministers, without creating additional positions. The PNL would receive seven portfolios, the USR six, and the UDMR three.

Interior: Abrudean or Florin Roman

Justice: Andronache Gabriel, but negotiations are still underway for now and there is strong competition within the party.

Finance: Gabriela Horga

Education: Mihai Dimian

Siegfried Mureșan is due to meet with President Nicușor Dan on Friday, and the list of ministers should be submitted to Parliament on the same day. Hearings are scheduled for Monday, while the investiture vote is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29. The PNL, USR, and UDMR have approximately 170 votes, after the PSD, AUR, and smaller groups announced that they would not support the government.
