Siegfried Mureșan will submit the governing program and the list of ministers proposed for appointment to Parliament on Saturday

Prime Minister-designate Siegfried Mureșan will submit the governing program and the list of ministers with whom he intends to seek a vote of investiture to Parliament on Saturday at 11:00. Hearings for the proposed ministers and the plenary vote are scheduled for the beginning of next week.

Mureșan is the third prime ministerial nominee put forward by President Nicușor Dan, after Eugen Tomac and Adrian Veștea. The Bolojan government was dismissed by a motion of no confidence on May 5. On June 4, Eugen Tomac resigned his mandate after failing to form a parliamentary majority, while Adrian Veștea did not obtain the votes required in the investiture vote on June 22.

The governing program and the Cabinet list were presented Friday at Cotroceni Palace and approved by the leaderships of the PNL, USR, and UDMR. The proposed executive will have 16 ministries and three deputy prime ministers with portfolios, one from each party.

Among the proposed ministers are Mircea Abrudean for Interior, Alexandru Nazare for Finance, Radu Miruță for Defense, Oana Țoiu for Foreign Affairs, Cătălin Drulă for Transport, and Attila Cseke for Development. Andrea Chiș is proposed as Minister of Justice. Ten members of the future cabinet also served in the Bolojan government.
