Alexandru Munteanu, the designated Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, will present himself in the Legislature together with the newly proposed ministers and will outline the government program. If he secures the majority vote, Munteanu and the ministers will take the oath in front of President Maia Sandu. At the meeting, 99 out of 101 deputies are present, with notable absences.
Munteanu was proposed by the president of PAS, Igor Grosu, after Dorin Recean announced that he is withdrawing from politics. President Maia Sandu emphasized the need for an economist to lead the Government, and Munteanu, with experience in business and at the World Bank, was appointed on October 24.
