PSD MP Voicu Vușcan has launched a vehement attack on USR, saying that Ion Iliescu's death has exposed the true face of the party. He said he would support the first no-confidence motion against the government, which includes USR. USR President Dominic Fritz announced that the party would not attend the funeral, proposing that national mourning should not be declared out of respect for the victims of the Revolution. In response, PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu called for respect for Iliescu's legacy.
