PSD MEP Victor Negrescu claims that PNL and USR are already preparing justifications for a possible failure of Siegfried Mureșan, nominated for the position of prime minister. The criticisms were made in a post published on social media, following the announcement of the liberal MEP’s nomination.
Negrescu disputes the explanations according to which the nomination is part of a “Machiavellian plan” and claims that PNL and USR are presenting themselves as victims, even though they are in government and received the proposal they requested. The Social Democrat also referred to Ilie Bolojan’s statement that he found out approximately 30 minutes before the announcement that Mureșan was going to be nominated.
The PSD MEP also criticized statements concerning the fact that efforts to understand the economic and political situation are only now beginning. He wondered what the parties currently in government have done so far and warned that these justifications could become explanations for the lack of a parliamentary majority or for a new political deadlock.
Victor Negrescu argues that the main discussion should concern relaunching the economy, protecting jobs and purchasing power, supporting companies and SMEs, unblocking investments and European funds, and ensuring fiscal predictability. He called for solutions, responsibility, and an economic plan, not justifications for a possible failure.
