The first outlines of the Mureșan Government. How the portfolios could be divided

USR is negotiating to obtain two ministries in the future government proposed by Siegfried Mureșan, while Cătălin Drulă is the favorite for Transport, according to HotNews sources in the party. For Justice, the party is most likely considering former minister Stelian Ion.

The party led by Dominic Fritz wants the PNL to give up one of the seven portfolios it is managing on an interim basis, so that the Liberals and USR would each have six ministries, while the UDMR would retain four. Alternatively, USR could accept the Ministries of Labor, Health, or Agriculture.

The party intends to retain its current ministers: Diana Buzoianu at Environment, Oana Țoiu at Foreign Affairs, Radu Miruță at Defense, and Ambrozie-Irineu Darău at Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism.

PNL wants to maintain the current team, including Cătălin Predoiu, and is awaiting clarification regarding the portfolios left vacant after the departure of the PSD ministers. UDMR has not officially begun discussions, but could propose the same list of ministers, plus Tánczos Barna at Agriculture.

Negotiations regarding the division of ministries are expected to begin on Wednesday, after the government program is finalized. Mureșan announced that the complete list would be presented all at once, but the chances of investiture are low after PSD decided not to support the cabinet. Without the votes of PSD, AUR, and PACE – Întâi România, the government cannot obtain the 233 votes required.
