Minister Dragoș Pîslaru emphasizes the importance of the reform of judges' pensions for meeting the PNRR milestone, with a deadline of November 28.

Dragos Pislaru, the Minister of Investments and European Projects, stated that the fulfillment of the milestone from the PNRR regarding the reform of judges' pensions depends on the reaction of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) after the governing coalition presents the proposal next week. Pislaru mentioned that, during a government meeting, a timeline for this milestone was discussed, emphasizing that the CSM can choose to delay the process or support Romania's interest in recovering European funds.

He also clarified that there is no possibility to renegotiate the deadline of November 28 or the content of the reform, which is essential to meet the requirements assumed by Romania under the PNRR. Pislaru rejected the idea that the milestone had already been fulfilled, emphasizing that a real reform is necessary to obtain the funds.
