A fire broke out on Monday at the Psychiatry department of the Hunedoara County Hospital. Firefighters activated the Red Intervention Plan.

The incident occurred at 5:10 PM, and as a result, 26 patients (19 women and 7 men) and 4 medical staff evacuated themselves. Several fire trucks from the Deva, Orăștie detachments and the Ilia section intervened on site. The fire, likely caused by a short circuit in an electrical panel, was quickly contained, and all individuals inside were safely evacuated. No one required medical attention, and after ventilating the spaces, the patients returned to the building with the help of firefighters.
