The Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, stated that the decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the law on judges' pensions refers only to the form of the act, not its content. He emphasized that if the law is adopted according to the proposal of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, Romania could access 231 million euros from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Pîslaru mentioned that the deadline for resolving this milestone is November 28 and expressed confidence that the political will of the coalition will lead to a solution for the procedural issues raised by the CCR.
The minister discussed the options for revising the project and emphasized that time is essential. He stated that there are no messages from the European Commission imposing changes to the project, and if the CCR has ruled only on form, there are no additional observations. Pîslaru believes that adopting the law in the proposed form would meet the necessary conditions to obtain European funds, emphasizing Romania's responsibility to advance the reform.
