Sorin Grindeanu, the president of PSD, discussed the possibility of appointing a technocrat prime minister, stating that, although this option was rejected last year, it cannot be ruled out in the current context. In an interview with RRA, Grindeanu emphasized that, considering the president's attention to the PNRR and the need to adopt some legislative projects, a prime minister from outside the major parties, PSD and PNL, could be a viable solution.
He mentioned that a consensus on a name that would satisfy all parties in the coalition could facilitate this option. Grindeanu highlighted that the rules of democracy are sometimes forced, especially when the prime minister comes from a party that has obtained a lower position in the elections.
