On March 20, the Constitutional Court will debate the USR and Forța Dreptei's appeal on the draft law changing the date of the presidential elections.

The complaint was lodged by USR and Forța Dreptei, attacking the draft law initiated by the UDMR which proposes that presidential elections be held 3 months before the end of the term of office. The bill was adopted by MPs and, if enacted into law, the elections would take place on September 15 and 29.
