Daniel Fenechiu, the leader of the PNL senators, stated on Monday that PNL could discuss with AUR for the support of a minority government, but prefers to negotiate first with PSD and independent parliamentarians. This statement comes in the context of the withdrawal of political support from PSD for Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and the resignations of PSD ministers. Fenechiu emphasizes the importance of governmental stability, considering the commitments made within the PNRR and SAFE.
He mentioned that if stability depended on a transparent agreement with AUR, he would have no objections, but emphasizes that the first option should be discussions with PSD. Fenechiu added that he would also seek support from independent parliamentarians or smaller parties, but does not completely rule out collaboration with AUR in the future.
