President Nicușor Dan stated that, so far, the Constitutional Court (CCR) has not ruled on the legal implications of the governmental interim, especially in the context in which, at the end of the 45-day interim, the government could remain unchanged or could have a reshuffle among ministers. Asked about the consultations at the Cotroceni Palace, in which the president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, could have discussed the referral to the CCR, Dan avoided confirming or denying the information.

He emphasized that, although the CCR has addressed numerous aspects related to contested governments, it has not provided clarifications on the current interim. Nicușor Dan mentioned that there is a public concern regarding the need to request an advance opinion from the CCR, to ensure a constitutional solution in the event that the government remains in the same form or changes.
