Ilie Bolojan: A technocratic government should not be a PSD surrogate

Ilie Bolojan, the interim prime minister, addressed the possibility of forming a technocratic government, mentioning that, following the dissolution of the government by PSD, it is essential to assume political responsibility. He emphasized the difficulties a technocratic prime minister would face without political responsibility, warning about the risks of additional spending.

Bolojan confirmed that PNL will seriously analyze the proposal for a technocratic government, but will consider the quality of the ministers and the government program, rejecting any formula that would be a continuation of PSD. He also mentioned discussions with the president about the new government, but without reaching conclusions.

He emphasized the need to quickly find a solution for the political crisis, warning that an interim government has limitations in issuing emergency ordinances. Bolojan clarified that no specific names were discussed in the meetings with the president.
