Ilie Bolojan: “The solution I see as feasible is to form a transitional government (...) I envision a technocratic government in this formula with a prime minister... primarily, one that would rely on technocrats”

Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated Thursday on B1 TV that the feasible solution for Romania is the formation of a transitional government led by a prime minister and technocratic ministers. According to him, the new formula should take the necessary measures for next year, at a time when time is working against the country.

Bolojan argues that such a government could be formed of competent people with experience in each sector and would have a clear mandate: completing the procedures related to the NRRP, carrying out the budget rectification, preparing next year’s budget, and ensuring the normal functioning of the state during the winter period.

The interim prime minister pointed out that Romania no longer has time for political calculations and that the parties should find a solution to unblock the situation. He recalled that the formula of a transitional government had been proposed as early as the beginning of the summer, but political tensions had prevented the adoption of important measures.
