USR Deputy, Drulă, stated that the vote in the Permanent Bureau of the Senate demonstrates the discrepancy between the promises of the parties and their real actions. Almost 500,000 Bucharest residents voted for a return to a single budget for the Capital, but PSD, PNL, and AUR are blocking its implementation. Drulă emphasized that the City Hall of the Capital is facing a lack of funds for essential projects, and referendums should become law, not just consultations. He accused the three parties of wanting to maintain a budget allocation system that hinders the development of Bucharest. He also explained that he submitted a bill to apply the rules voted by citizens in the 2026 budget, emphasizing that it is essential for the will of the citizens to be respected.
