USR Deputy Cătălin Drulă denounced an amendment adopted by PSD with the support of AUR, which stipulates that individuals found in a state of incompatibility or conflict of interest automatically lose their position within 30 days. This measure directly targets the mayor of Timișoara, Dominic Fritz, who has been declared in a conflict of interest by the High Court.
Drulă compared the situation to OUG 13, stating that the amendment is unconstitutional and applies a retroactive penalty. He accused the leaders of PSD and AUR of knowing that the law will be rejected by the Constitutional Court, but that they are willing to sacrifice essential funds for Romania, such as 800 million euros from PNRR, to satisfy their personal interests. Drulă emphasized that this action represents a challenge to the Constitution and a political harassment of Fritz.
