Dan Motreanu, PNL MEP, criticized PSD for blocking the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), stating that this party has become an example of "running away from responsibility." Motreanu emphasizes that Ilie Bolojan, the current interim prime minister, is striving to recover the delays accumulated in previous years, but PSD continues to contest and attack without assuming responsibility.
He believes that every former and current minister should prioritize the implementation of reforms and the attraction of European funds, considering that PNRR is a commitment of the Romanian state. Motreanu highlighted that Romania needs leaders who take responsibility, not politicians who look for scapegoats. In response, PSD announced that it has filed complaints against certain government decisions, accusing the interim government of exceeding its powers. The government responded that all decisions were adopted legally. Motreanu concluded by stating that policies affecting investments and the development of Romania should not be influenced by political rivalries.
