PNL MEP Siegfried Mureșan launched a political attack against the PSD and its social-democratic leader, Sorin Grindeanu, just a few hours before new consultations at Cotroceni Palace to designate a candidate for the position of prime minister.
Mureșan claims that the PSD publicly states that it is ready to take over the leadership of the Government, but that, in reality, the party is trying to avoid directly assuming responsibility for governing. He directly targeted Sorin Grindeanu, who, he says, declares that he wants the position of prime minister, although his political actions would indicate the opposite.
“With the PSD, reality is always the opposite of what they claim. Sorin Grindeanu tells us that he wants to be prime minister and that he is ready. In reality, he has been running away from this position since he filed the no-confidence motion in April. The PSD tells us that it has a governing program. In reality, they have nothing and hope they will not even have to prepare one. The question is the following: do they know more than we do about the designation of the future prime minister? Do they know that they will be exempt from being designated today? The PSD’s desire is to control the government without assuming responsibility for governing,” Siegfried Mureșan said on Monday in a post on his Facebook page.
