WTA rankings: Sorana Cîrstea occupies 15th place, the best ranking of her career

Sorana Cîrstea, 36, in her final year of competition, has climbed two places and is ranked 15th in the WTA rankings, published on Monday after the US Open. This is the best ranking of her career.

Jaqueline Cristian has dropped 11 places and is ranked 55th, with 1,051 points. Gabriela Ruse is ranked 65th, after dropping one place, with 991 points. 

The new world number one is Kazakhstan’s Elena Rîbakina, winner of the US Open, who has 9,901 points.
